Micromouse and UKMARS

Its been a while since I last posted on my blog! The xylophone player now works pretty well, and I have moved on to other things. Back in 1982(!) along with one of my then colleagues, I tried my hand at the micro mouse competition. We did not devote enough time or energy to this project, and although we entered and constructed a mouse, it never got out of the starting square! Move on to October 13th 2018 and I was an attendee at the UKMARS event in Hazelmere, High Wycombe, Berkshire. There were drag races, line follower races and the culmination was the micro mouse contest. We attended the competition which was held at Birmingham university in 2013 and decided we would have a go. Time passed, Birmingham university held more contests, and we progressed very very slowly!
